At the driving skills competition site, the contestants operate a bucket filled with water suspended from the driving system, smoothly pass through the "S" shaped route arranged by the pipeline, and finally place the bucket in the designated position. The entire process requires a certain height, whether there is water spraying, whether there is a collision with both sides of the pipeline, and the time used, fully reflecting the skills of the lathe operator such as speed, balance, and reaction sensitivity. The welding skills competition has high requirements for the basic skills and operational skills of participating employees. The contestants on site wore white flame-retardant work clothes, safety helmets, gloves, and held welding tongs in their right hand and masks in their left hand, attentively and carefully welding the specimens. All participants are not only proficient in operation, but also strictly follow the operation procedures specified in the competition, striving to complete each step to a high standard to ensure welding quality.

In the later stage of the competition, the production department, HSE, process department, and quality inspection department will comprehensively consider, score, and evaluate the performance and works of the contestants according to the scoring table standards.
